I admired Jeanette Clift George’s theatre company, the A.D. Players, so my co-founder, Marla Ripps, and I modeled CSDC after it.
Theatre speaks to me because it’s a way I can glorify God.
An embarrassing memory is when I fell off the stage during a rehearsal and got a black eye!
My sister influenced me to do theatre, because she was in plays. She was 11 years older than me, and I always wanted to be like her. So I did theatre, as well, when I got old enough.
One of my dogs, Angel, was in Midsummer Night’s Dream in 2013 at CSDC.
I’m afraid of falling off of the stage now. Lol.
I am the way I am because of the Lord, my parents, my husband, and my children.
The most unusual item that can be found in our props storage is a toilet seat.
My dream job is EXACTLY what I’m doing! Being a mom, teaching, directing, and acting!
My hidden talent is being able to read a book in just a few hours.
My guilty pleasure is scrolling through Facebook wasting time.
Some activities on my bucket list are to travel (I’ve wanted to go to Hawaii since I was five!) and to perform in a Shakespeare play.
My co-founder, Marla Ripps, and I became best friends because of theatre.
One of the accomplishments I’m proud of is directing award-winning Shakespeare performances when I’ve never actually performed Shakespeare myself!
I love my job because I get to make a difference in my students’ lives.
During the summer I get to go to London to chaperone one of my students who was accepted into the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts! I will be able to go to the Globe Theatre and to Stratford Upon Avon.
I volunteer at The Public Theatre of San Antonio when I have free time in my schedule.
CSDC is meaningful to me because I have met the most wonderful people there and because I get to use the gifts God gave me.
